Bes is an ancient Egyptian deity associated with protection, household, and childbirth. Bes was believed to ward off evil spirits and bring good fortune to homes. His playful and jovial nature made him a popular household guardian.
Bes was also present in musical and dance performances, believed to bring happiness and protect against malevolent forces during festivities.

In his right hand he holds the fruit of the immortality (date palm fruit). His headdress depicts the goddess Bastet in the form of a cat, wielding a club to ward off evil forces, represented in the form of geese.

He wears a leopard print loincloth adorned with a snake belt. In addition, I hung small bells in his ears, the sound of which would signal his approach.

The goddess Besini, consort of the god Bes, is believed to be quicker in defense despite Bes being stronger. She is occasionally depicted with Bes on her shoulders, symbolizing her superior speed.
